Vettah Release Postponed

Vettah, the psychological thriller which stars Manju Warrier in the central role, will not release on January. The release of the Rajesh Pillai directed movie has been postponed to February.

The movie was initially slated to release on January 29th, Friday. But the team decided to postpone the released, as the post-production works are still on pending.

Kunchacko Boban and Indrajith play the male leads and Kadhal Sandhya appears in a key role in the movie. Vettah is said to be the first-ever mind game movie of Malayalam cinema.

It is for the first time Manju is depicting the role of a police officer in her career. Reportedly, her role Sreebala IPS is entirely different from the usual lady cop roles.

Instead, the actress will be playing a very different police character, which is inspired from the popular real-life lady police officers of Kerala Police force.

Earlier, Jayasurya and Bhama were considered for the roles played by Indrajith and Kadhal Sandhya. But the actors backed out of the project due to date clashes.

Akshara Kishore, the child actress who earned immense popularity with the Television soap opera Karuthamuthu, essays a pivotal role as Kunchacko Boban's daughter, in the movie.

Indrajith is sharing the screen with Manju Warrier for the first time; while Kunchacko Boban has earlier paired up with the actress in her comeback movie How Old Are You
