Rockstar a malayalam movie which was first titled as ‘On The Rocks’ has released today. The movie is directed by V.K. Prakash and reached theatres without much publicity. Eva Pavithran who is daughter of directer V.K. Pavithran plays the female lead role in the movie. Lets see what this movie offers to the audience.
The movie tells the story of Anand Abraham who is a successful musician from a popular band in Banglore. The role Anand is played by Sidharth Menon. Anand is a boy who loves in sex relationship between girls and maintains no serious relationships with these girls. One day his relationship changes seriously and what happens to his lfe is the rest of the story.
Siddharth who played the lead role in the movie had maintained to keep good acting overall. He was okay in his character but failed to show a great performance in some challenging situations. Eva Pavithran who played as Athira Menon in the movie has done a great job. She was beautiful and was good in both romantic and sentimental scenes.
M Jayachandran rather than composing music for the movie has played a role in the movie and done his part. Saiju Kurup has played an important role in the movie and his performance need special mention in the movie. Anumol as Sanjana Kurien plays a never seen before character and played very well with her simple preformance. All other characters played by Sona Nair, Anumol, Mukundan Menon and many others were also good.
This musical movie has so many songs composed jointly by Prashant Pillai and M. Jayachandran was good. Direction of the movie by director V.K Prakash was good.
